3rd Arenacross Podium Sweep for Babbitt’s at Round 7
2/22/2010Another podium sweep for the unstoppable Team Babbitt’s: Josh Demuth took his second straight win at AMA Arenacross Round 7, with teammate Tyler Bowers in second place and Chad Johnson in third. The performance was the team’s third sweep of the podium this season. Round 7 was held February 20 in San Antonio, Texas.
Bowers held the lead for most of the race, while Demuth waged a pitched battle for the top spot toward the finish. The three Babbitt’s riders still hold the top three spots in the overall standings, with Bowers in first place, Demuth second and Johnson third.
Demuth praised the quality and performance of his Maxxis tires. “The proof is in the results,” he said. “We went one, two, three again with Maxxcross tires, and this was the slickest track of the season. Maxxis tires are a good hook-up.”
