Hart Wins TORC Rounds 5-6
6/26/2009When TORC came to Crandon, Marty Hart ruled. The veteran driver took Pro Light victories in Rounds 5 and 6, held June 20-21 in Wisconsin.
A crowd of more than 24,000 saw Hart sweep to victory at the Crandon Raceway, known as the short-track equivalent to the Daytona 500. For an elated Hart, success at the site was especially sweet: “It was great to be able to win at a track that I don’t even think I’ve finished a race there before. It was a fantastic weekend, especially to win both of them.”
Hart was also pleased with the performance of his Maxxis Bighorns. “They did great. We have the tires to win,” he said. “The tire works well, and it’s proven itself in rocks, mud and dirt. I’ve got a tire that does everything in every situation. The tire is dominating the Pro Light class, and it’s the tire to beat right now.”
Other drivers on Maxxis also did well during the weekend. Shawn Morris won the Round 5 Pro Super Buggy race and took second place the following day, while Dan Vanden Heuvel took third place in the Round 6 Pro 2WD class.
Maxxis congratulates Marty Hart and Shawn Morris on their victories and thanks Dan Vanden Heuvel for his outstanding performance.
